For candidates to be eligible for the Australia research training program scholarship they must, 

  • They must be undertaking or enrolled in an HDR program at Griffith University (for which support from RTP is available).
  • They must not be getting resources from another source to support the students living costs that provide a benefit higher than 75% of the RTP funds rate to commence the proposed program. Funds not related to the candidate’s HDR program, or funds are taken for the student’s HDR program but not related to the purpose or supports general living costs, is not going to be added into account.

You can apply any time of the year for the scholarship.

The Australian Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship was founded by the federal government of Australia, it is designed to aid masters and Ph.D. research training, which was awarded to learners of exceptional leadership qualities that are experts in research. The funds allocated to each tertiary institution each year was based on their research performance. This made the award grant very competitive and based on the candidate attaining a minimum of first-class honors. The Australian research scholarship program is fully sponsored by the Australian government and allows domestic and international students to be able to partake in the research training program. 

Application Deadline

The deadline for the RTP varies as it opens three times a year. For the first set, it opens February 2020 and closes 31 march 2020, then the second open 1 April and closes June 30, lastly, the portal opens July 1 and closes 30 September.
